Fall Creek Falls, Mammoth Cave, and the Back Roads of Kentucky — A Summer Road Trip

Waterfalls, caves, and a part of the country I'd never seen before.

Didn't really know what to expect from this one, but it ended up being a really good trip.

We hit Fall Creek Falls in Tennessee first — beautiful waterfalls, good hiking, nice place to just decompress for a bit. Then we made our way into Kentucky to check out Mammoth Cave. It's the longest cave system in the world, and yeah, it lives up to that. Pretty hard to wrap your head around how big it is once you're actually inside.

My father-in-law grew up near there, and him and his brothers used to play in those caves as kids. Hearing that story while we were actually standing in the place made it feel like more than just a tourist stop.
